Ishmael by Daniel Quinn- Deals with our current societies way of thinking- a fictionalized version of "Collapse" I liked it when I was a kid and in college. I have had friends read it recently with positive feed back. A Gorilla is the narrator, which might be hard for some people to swollow, but it ties in with our name...

The Stolen Child by Keith Donohue- this was one of Amazons recomendations based on the fact I liked "The Time Traveler's Wife" and "Confessions of Max Tivoli" (local author andrew greer). It looks like an interesting story (there are hobgoblins).
